  • What factors influence the cost of my new deck?
The cost of building a new deck is influenced by factors such as the size of the deck, the materials used, the complexity of the design, labor costs, permits, location, and additional features like railings, stairs, and lighting. • Will my new deck fade or stain?
Composite decking typically lasts 25 to 30 years with minimal maintenance. PVC decking can last 30 to 50 years, being highly resistant to moisture and insects. Wood decking (like pressure-treated pine) generally lasts 10 to 15 years, depending on upkeep and exposure. Bamboo decking usually lasts 15 to 25 years if properly sealed and maintained.

  • What are the benefits of using bamboo decking
Bamboo is rapidly sustainable, strong like steel but lighter, and pest-resistant. It offers a unique look and supports eco-friendly construction.
  • How do I clean my deck?
For composite decking, scrub with soapy water or a composite deck cleaner and rinse with a hose. PVC decking cleans easily with mild soap and water using a soft brush or sponge. Wood decks should be swept, then cleaned with deck cleaner or soapy water—gentle power washing is okay. For bamboo decks, sweep regularly, wash with mild soap and water, and reseal yearly for protection.
  • What should I do if my deck has a scratch or crack—should I fix it or replace it?
Minor scratches or small cracks can usually be repaired—composite and PVC decks may just need a heat gun or color-matched filler, while wood and bamboo can be sanded and sealed. But if the damage is deep, spreading, or affects safety, it’s best to replace the affected boards to avoid further issues. Please call us if you have deep scratches or cracked boards / structures in your deck.

  • How long will it take to build my deck?
Building only a deck will depend on size, design complexity, materials, and weather. This includes planning, permits, site prep, construction, and inspections.
